Quick Guide: Navigating Your Lookout Account
If you downloaded the Lookout app but have never logged in to your account at mylookout.com, you are definitely missing out! Just as you log in to Gmail to access your email account, you can log in to your very own Lookout account from our website. Whether you want to find your phone, view your backed-up data, change your settings, or restore your data to another device, your mylookout.com account is the place to go. And remember: you can access your mylookout.com account from your smartphone, tablet, and computer! In this post, we’ll review everything you can do from your account.
But first, you need to log in! Go to our homepage, and click Log In. Don’t remember the email address you signed up with? No problem. Click Reset Password, enter your email address in the text box and you’ll promptly receive an email with details on how to change your password. Once you are logged in, you will see the main dashboard, where you will get a quick snapshot on the latest activity in your Lookout account, including Security, Backup and Missing Device. From the main dashboard you can easily back up or restore your data, locate a missing device, or check up on your security activity. For more detailed information, click on the different tabs at the top of the page.
Have more than one device? You may notice that you can link multiple devices to one account. So if you have an iPhone and an Android tablet, or a personal phone and a work phone, you will be able to manage both of them from this dashboard.
Security Tab
Lookout offers unique security protection for Android and iOS. While the security features for Lookout for iPhone are managed exclusively through the app on your phone, Android device owners will also see a Security tab on their mylookout.com account screen. In this tab, you will find the history of your Security Scans – how many apps have been scanned, and how many dangerous apps have been found.
Backup Tab
If you have ever lost your phone, you know the awful feeling that comes along with losing the device and the data you have saved on it. Luckily, even if you lose your phone and are unable to recover it, Lookout has your back.
- Click on the Backup tab and you will be able to see all of the data that Lookout has backed up. From here, you can also start a backup or restore your data to your device in the event that something goes wrong with your phone.
Missing Device Tab
Click on the Missing Device tab and you will find a map just waiting for you to tell it where to go, and if you click on the Locate button, we will immediately start locating your device. As the locate runs, it will get more precise the longer you wait.
Let’s say you have located your phone and it’s in your driveway, but you can’t seem to find it in your car. Click the Scream button and your device will emit a loud alarm, even if your device is on silent or vibrate.
- Lock and Wipe, Lookout Premium for Android features, can be used if your device has been lost or stolen and you don’t want your personal data to fall into the wrong hands.

- Remember, your mylookout.com account can be accessed from any web browser, so if you have lost your phone but aren’t near a computer, just borrow a friend’s smartphone to locate your device. This can also make a great party trick– a very nerdy party trick, but hey, it’s entertaining!
You can manage your Lookout account by changing your selections in the Settings tab or clicking on Account in the upper right-hand corner. Choose your email settings, change your email address or password, select how frequently Lookout backs up your data or preforms a security scan, or disable a device if it is no longer in use.

Lost my phone a few days ago, still have not found it, is it me or is it look-out??? any ideas!!!!
@Victor, thanks for you message. If your phone is powered on and has a connection (either to WiFi or network) you will receive an email to your account with a map of your phone’s location. I just downloaded this app remotely as I just lost my phone. I have been unable to log into my account.

I am unable to access my account. When I log in it takes me to WELCOME TO LOOKOUT DOWNLOAD SCREEN.When I log in from there it goes right back to the WELCOME SCREEN.
I can’t get to any of my account data.Any suggestion on how to access all my account information.
